Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
